Kids Kount at The Gathering Place Preschool and Kindergarten serves students from ages 18 months through six years from Folsom, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, the El Dorado Hills area, Gold River, Orangevale and surrounding communities.
EDUCATIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM
Kids Kount provides a balanced program in the four areas of growth and progression: (1) social (2) emotional (3) physical (4) mental. Our spiritual distinctive is woven into all aspects of the program throughout the day. Since each child is unique, learns differently, and has individual interests and needs, our program is designed to be flexible in order to promote the development of each child's social, emotional, physical, and mental capabilities.
Kids Kount encourages each student to gain independence as he or she explores the environment. Our objectives and methods are designed to help students utilize their natural curiosity and encourage the development of important learning skills, such as working cooperatively, solving problems, and following directions.
The educational program of Kids Kount is scheduled throughout the morning hours when children are generally more attentive and rested. The students are taught in small groups within their class in order to give each child more individualized learning time. Teacher-student ratios meet or exceed state mandated requirements. We include interesting motivational activities and complete well-rounded educational programs to help your child discover the many joys of growing, learning, and reaching their full potential.
Each class group has reserved scheduled outdoor playtime. During this time, we maintain the same teacher-student ratios in order to ensure the safety and well being of your child. Children are never left alone. In addition to class and outdoor time, additional activities may include food experience, chapel, and an exercise club. In every activity, we have fun!
